A Year in Coffee —

The beginning of each year can bring on a dizzying sense of the unknown. The festivities are over and the new year stretches ahead of us like a Nevada highway, fading into the distant mist beyond our reach. Short days and long nights prompt morning lethargy as the alarm sounds and you crawl out from under the duvet, grappling with the grinder to prepare the morning’s beans. Perhaps a coffee will inspire the mind. An espresso. Dark, rich and moody, an intense injection of aroma to stimulate your senses; motivation to start the day. A balanced Colombia; washed; cranberries, figs and hazelnuts. The first sip kick starts your engine. The second, third and fourth, pre-meeting, post-emails, helps you hone in on the task at hand; listen, learn, live and let live.
